Abstract:
Provided is a multilayer piezoelectric element in which heat generation can be reduced while a good piezoelectric property is maintained. This multilayer piezoelectric element is a laminate of a plurality of piezoelectric films each having a piezoelectric body layer having a macromolecular complex piezoelectric body containing piezoelectric body particles in a matrix including a macromolecular material, and electrode layers formed on both sides of the piezoelectric body layer. When a value obtained by dividing a capacitive reactance Xc of the piezoelectric films at a frequency of 1 kHz by an equivalent series resistance ESR is 1, a value XE20 obtained by dividing the capacitive reactance Xc at a frequency of 20 kHz by the equivalent series resistance ESR is in the range of 0.6 to 1.5.
