Abstract:

Provided is a navigation device, comprising: a direction guide sign generation unit (13) which generates a navigation display direction guide sign for a junction; a display control unit (15) which displays in a display (9) the navigation display direction guide sign which is generated by the direction guide sign generation unit (13); and a display timing control unit (16) which controls the display control unit (15) to display in the display (9), at a display timing, wherein the commencement of the display is taken to be the host vehicle reaching a characteristic location of a road prior to a junction, a navigation display direction guide sign of the junction.
