Abstract:
Provided is a needle assembly having a new structure which is capable of excellent operability with respect to both removal of a puncture needle from a subcutaneously implanted port or the like and protection of the puncture needle, and yet can also be compact. The needle assembly (10) wherein a protective cover (16) is capable of a relative pivoting motion and a sliding movement in relation to a needle hub (14) which supports the base end of the puncture needle (12), and the tip of the puncture needle (12) is covered by the protective cover (16) due to the protective cover (16) making the relative sliding movement in relation to the needle hub (14) when the length direction of the puncture needle (12) has been aligned with the sliding movement direction of the protective cover (16) as a result of the relative pivoting motion of the needle hub (14) and the protective cover (16).
