Abstract:
A negative electrode material, containing a carbonaceous active material, and the carbonaceous active material comprising carbonaceous particles having pores in a region of 80 μm×100 μm by observing an SEM image. The negative electrode material satisfies the following condition (A) or (B): (A) the direction in which the length of each pore is longest is the maximum diameter Y of the pore, the range of the maximum diameter Y of the pore of a single carbonaceous particle satisfies 0.3 μm≤Y≤2.0 μm, and the average value X of the maximum diameters of the pores of the carbonaceous particles satisfies 0.6 μm≤X≤1.5 μm, and (B) the ratio of the number of carbonaceous particles having a pore number N≤2 to the total number of the carbonaceous particles of the region is less than or equal to 60%, and the ratio of the number of carbonaceous particles having a pore number 3≤N≤5 to the total number of the carbonaceous particles of the region is less than or equal to 30%. Further provided is an electrochemical apparatus containing the negative electrode material.
