Abstract:
In order to provide, for a virtual machine, a storage resource suitable to the characteristics of the virtual machine, this network system collects storage configuration information for a storage resource, which is a data storage destination, and virtual machine resource information pertaining to the virtual machine to which the storage resource is allocated. Then, on the basis of the collected storage configuration information, storage regions are formed for each storage tier having different characteristics, and the storage tier of the storage region allocated to the virtual machine is specified in the virtual machine resource information.
