Abstract:
A preformed article (10A) for a cylinder head is equipped with: a first section (11), in which is formed a first through-hole (15) running from an upper wall part (18) to a central part (19a), which is a section of a bottom wall part (19) that forms the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine; and a second section (12A), in which is formed a second through-hole (16) running to the central part (19a) from an outer wall part (for example the upper wall part (18)) positioned higher than an intake port (14) that opens in the central part (19a). The sections (11, 12A) are sections in which a cooling water passage (W) is not formed.
