Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to obtain a network system with which it is possible to individually set FEC validity after determining whether FEC is required. A Loopback frame generator unit (12) generates a Loopback frame of a description which is instructed by an FEC use description establishment unit (11) when executing a Loopback test. The FEC use description establishment unit (11) executes an FEC setting description test using a Loopback function when making a test connection and establishes an FEC setting description between an OLT (10) and an ONU (2i) (where i is any of 1 to 3). When the FEC setting description establishment test is finished, an FEC validity setting unit (13) and an FEC validity setting unit (43) within the ONU (2i) are controlled such that communication between the OLT (10) and the ONU (2i) is carried out with the established FEC setting description.
