8-Nitroguanosine-3’,5’-cyclic monophosphate represented by the formula below, and a pharmaceutical composition comprising 8-nitroguanosine-3’,5’-cyclic monophosphate as an active ingredient, particularly a protein kinase G activator. This compound is a novel compound which can serve as a guanosine-3’,5’-cyclic monophosphate agonist and has the effect of activating protein kinase G.
