Title:
NITRONE DERIVATIVES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1998/013332
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Compounds represented by general formula (I) and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, useful as the remedies for nerve degeneration diseases such as neuropil degeneration diseases, wherein Ar is optionally substituted phenyl or an optionally substituted aromatic heterocyclic group; n is 0, 1 or 2; W is -CH2?NH- or -CH=N(O)-; R?1, R?2 and R?3 are each independently optionally substituted alkyl, carboxyl or alkoxycarbonyl, provided two of R?1, R?2 and R?3 may form together with the carbon atoms to which they are bonded a cycloalkane ring, or R?1, R?2 and R?3 may form together with the carbon atom to which they are bonded a bicycloalkane or tricycloalkane ring, with the cycloalkane, bicycloalkane and tricycloalkane rings being each optionally substituted; and R?4 and R?5 are each independently hydrogen or optionally substituted alkyl.
