Abstract:

Provided is a distilling apparatus which enables on-site recycling of spent NMP recovered from, for example, a process of manufacturing electrodes for lithium-ion secondary batteries, and is capable of simply and safely refining the NMP regardless of variations in water content of raw material and throughput, and of further improving the recovery rate. The NMP distilling apparatus is equipped with a raw material tank 41, a distillation column 1 and a product tank 42. The distillation column 1 is a side-cut distillation column that is configured to allow high-purity NMP to be extracted as side-cut vapor from a middle section and comprises: a column top section for separating out high-concentration NMP and water containing low-boiling components; and a column bottom section for further distilling a reflux liquid from the distillation column and separating out high-purity NMP and high-concentration NMP containing high-boiling components. A condenser for condensing the high-purity NMP extracted as side-cut vapor and a flow rate control means for adjusting the amount of liquid of the high-purity NMP being withdrawn from the condenser to the product tank are disposed downstream from the distillation column.
