Abstract:
A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided which enables improving charge/discharge cycle characteristics. This non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided with an electrode body which comprises a first electrode and a second electrode with mutually different polarities that face each other across from a separator, and a battery case which houses the electrode body. The first electrode has a mixed layer that contains a conductive agent, and, used in a state in which a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery is fixed, the mixed layer has a first region on the upper side in the vertical direction and a second region on the lower side in the vertical direction; the void ratio of the mixed layer in the first region is higher than the void ratio of the mixed layer in the second region, and the conductive agent content ratio in the first region is lower than the conductive agent content ratio in the second region; and the conductive agent contained in the first region contains fibrous carbon and the conductive agent contained in the second region contains granular carbon.
