Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of mechanical transmission and provides a non-orthogonal elliptical toroidal worm gear pair, comprising an involute cylindrical gear and an elliptical toroidal worm formed by spreading a primary envelope of the involute cylindrical gear. The involute cylindrical gear and the elliptical toroidal worm are in spatial non-orthogonal transmission, and a crossed-axis angle satisfies a self-locking condition and a limiting condition of a minimum tooth crest width. A toroidal generatrix of the elliptical toroidal worm is elliptical, which can increase the number of engaged teeth and the total length of an instant contact line. The non-orthogonal elliptical toroidal worm gear pair provided in the present invention has the characteristics of toroidal worm transmission, and can achieve full-tooth-width participation of a gear in engagement transmission. In comparison with TI worm transmission of a spiral cylindrical gear, the non-orthogonal elliptical toroidal worm gear pair has the advantages of stable transmission, low noise, large bearing capacity, high transmission efficiency, remarkable error homogenization effect of multi-tooth transmission, uniform gear tooth surface abrasion, good precision retentivity, etc., can be applied to the fields of precise continuous indexing transmission, cylindrical gear tooth surface continuous grinding, etc., and has good application and popularization value and industrialization prospects.
