Abstract:
A nonvolatile content addressable memory, wherein each word circuit is composed of a plurality of segments having an order relation, each of the segments has one or more memory cells, each of the memory cells is provided with a nonvolatile storage element, and each of the segments is provided with a power supply switch for turning on and off the power supply of the memory cell of the segment. All the power supply switches are turned off during standby, and the power supply switch is turned on in each of the segments as needed during a search operation.
