Abstract:

Disclosed is a note-bundle conveying apparatus which prevents the paper notes making up a bundle of paper-notes to be conveyed from entering a gap between members that come into contact with the paper note bundles, and also disclosed is a paper-note handling device on which this note-bundle conveying apparatus is mounted. An impeller (611) arranged on the rear side of a push-out plate (602) for pushing a paper currency bundle (P) is rotated by the rotation that accompanies the movement of a carrier (600) of a roller (604) that comes into contact with the upper surface (502a) of a floor wall (502). As a result of this rotation, a force is exerted on the paper currency entering the gap between the push-out plate (602) and the upper surface (502a) in a direction that pushes the paper currency out of the gap. This prevents entry of the paper currency through the gap. In addition, in the absence of rotation, an elastic member (611a) provided in close proximity to the gap serves as an obstacle that prevents entry of the paper currency into the gap.
