Abstract:
The present invention relates to a fusion protein comprising an extracellular domain and an immunoglobulin Fc region of a leucine-rich and immunoglobulin-like domains-1 (Lrig-1) protein. A fusion protein provided in the present invention interacts with a ligand for a Lrig-1 protein present in effector T cells so as to inhibit the activity of regulatory T cells (Treg cells) and maintain or promote the activity of effector T cells according to the inhibition of the interaction between regulatory T cells comprising a Lrig-1 protein on the surface thereof and effector T cells, and thereby effectively inhibiting the growth of cancer cells, particularly solid cancer cells.
