Title:
NOVEL MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY HAVING ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ACTION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/230558
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is an anti-inflammatory drug that is more effective and has fewer side effects in comparison to NSAIDs or steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Specifically, a therapeutic agent for inflammatory conditions that contains, as an active ingredient, an anti-4-HNE antibody inhibiting 4-HNE, is recognized to ameliorate the expression of various inflammation markers for cerebral infarction or ischemia reperfusion, and to have a life saving or life prolonging effect in sepsis model animals. The anti-4-HNE antibody exhibits higher efficacy even for inflammatory conditions for which existing anti-inflammatory drugs such as conventional NSAIDs or streroidal anti-inflammatroy drugs have shown no effect.
