Abstract:
Provided are somatostatin receptor subtype 2 agonists. The salts, etc., of (3S,4R)-1-[3-(5,6-difluoro-1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)-5-(3,5-difluorophenyl)-4-pyridinyl]-4-(3-oxetanylamino)-3-piperidinol disclosed by the present invention are low-molecular-weight compounds having potent agonist activity against somatostatin receptor subtype 2, can be taken easily because oral administration is possible, and can reduce pain associated with treatment of a patient. These compounds also have sufficiently weak hERG inhibitory activity on SSTR2 agonist activity and/or phospholipidosis action, and therefore can suppress or reduce adverse effects caused by these actions.
