Abstract:
A nucleic acid chromatography test apparatus which can be used for detecting a target nucleic acid with a strip 20 for gene-based testing use, and which is provided with a main body unit 10, wherein the main body unit 10 is composed of a cylindrical member into which a strip can be inserted and which is opened at one end, the main body unit 10 is equipped with a strip-holding section for holding the strip, the main body unit has a sealing section 106 which can fit with an opening of a container 30 having a nucleic-acid-containing solution placed therein to form an airtight space in the main body unit and the container. A nucleic acid chromatography is carried out at one end of the strip in the nucleic acid chromatography test apparatus that is placed in the container while fitting the main body unit with the opening of the container. It becomes possible to prevent the contamination caused as the result of the volatilization of a reaction solution or the contact of the reaction solution with the strip upon the development of the reaction solution on the strip during the nucleic acid chromatography and the contamination caused by the disposal of the test apparatus.
