Abstract:
A numerical control system according to the present invention implements axis control while reading ahead block by block in a machining program, the numerical control system comprising: a program execution unit that executes the machining program; a program read-ahead unit that reads ahead in the machining program; a read-ahead block count calculating unit that calculates a read-ahead block count, this being the difference between the number of the block executed by the program execution unit and the number of the block read-ahead by the program read-ahead unit; a depleted block detection unit that detects depleted blocks, these being blocks at the point when the read-ahead block count goes below a first control value; and a CPU load adjusting unit that restricts at least one function other than the function of reading ahead in the machining program by the program read-ahead unit in a depleted block predicted by the depleted block detection unit.
