Abstract:
An object detecting device (10) is provided with: a crowd determining unit (12) which detects an object by fusing a plurality of items of target object information obtained by using a plurality of detecting sensors (21, 22) having different detection accuracies to detect objects around a host vehicle as target objects, and determines that a target object that has been detected within a predetermined crowd zone based on a reference target object selected from among the target objects, and that is a target object other than the reference target object, is a crowd target object; a zone setting unit (13) for setting a search zone in such a way as to include a crowd determining region, which is a region in which the reference target object and the crowd target object have been detected; and an object determining unit (14) for determining an object represented by the target object in the search zone by fusing the target object information for the search zone.
