Abstract:
This object detecting device comprises a receiving unit (40B) that acquires a received signal for a wave that is transmitted as an ultrasonic wave and is reflected from an object. The object detecting device comprises an information processing unit (8) that acquires object information on the shape of the object from a learning model by inputting the feature amount of the waveform of the received signal and other pieces of measurement information to the learning model that has been learned to perform machine learning for estimating the shape of the object. The learning model includes a feature extraction unit (74) that extracts a time change of a characteristic element included in the received signal, as time characteristic data on the basis of the received signal and a predetermined object characteristic pattern, and a data compression unit (75) that compresses the time characteristic data to obtain a plurality of feature amounts. The learning model includes a determination unit (21) that determines the shape of the object by performing an operation while assigning a predetermined weight to the plurality of feature amounts and the measurement information. The measurement information is information that is correlated to a change of the waveform of the received signal or the shape of the object.
