Abstract:
An object recognition device (1) installed in a vehicle includes a tracking processing unit (6, S103) comprising: a first correspondence processing unit (10, S301-S303); a second correspondence processing unit (30, S305, S306), and a vehicle likelihood calculation unit (20, S304). The first correspondence processing unit extracts, for each tracking target, a tentative correspondence cluster, which is a cluster that is presumed to indicate the same target on the basis of positional relationships. The second correspondence processing unit calculates a posterior confidence, which is the probability that, in the case in which the tentative correspondence cluster and the tracking target are assumed to indicate the same target, said target is a vehicle, and determines whether or not to establish correspondence on the basis of the calculated posterior confidence. The second correspondence processing unit calculates the posterior confidence on the basis of a posterior confidence calculated for the tracking target in the previous measurement cycle and a cluster vehicle likelihood of the tentative correspondence cluster calculated by the vehicle likelihood calculation unit.
