Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to smooth out noise in a measurement result obtained by means of a laser distance measuring sensor, and to suppress erroneous recognition of the position and size of an object based on the measurement result. An object recognizing device according to the present invention recognizes an object by grouping together measurement results obtained by means of a laser distance measuring sensor, calculates a reliability of the recognition result, and changes the time for which each measurement result is continuously held, in accordance with the reliability.
