Abstract:
An occupant protection apparatus (60) is provided with: a seat arrangement determination unit (94) that determines the arrangement of seats (14) (14D, 14G); and a collision determination unit (92) that determines information about collision occurring to a vehicle (10). A deployment control unit (96) deploys an airbag (16) (16D) when the direction of the seat (14) (14D) and the direction of the seat (14) (14G) determined by the seat arrangement determination unit (94) are opposed to each other, and the direction of the collision determined by the collision determination unit (92) is on the front side of the seat (14) (14D), or on the front side of the seat (14) (14G).
