Abstract:
An occupant restraining system with a high degree of freedom for mounting an air bag. A retainer (16) is applied to the lower inner surface of an air bag (12). A stud bolt (20) projected downward from the lower surface of the retainer (16) is inserted into the bolt insertion hole (12a) of the air bag (12), and a first nut (24) is screwed into the stud bolt (20) through a patch (22) from the outside of the air bag (12) to connect the air bag (12) to the retainer (16). A gas generator (14) is connected to the retainer (16) by a bracket (30). The stud bolt (20) is disposed on the rear side of the centerline of the air bag (12).
