Abstract:
The present invention provides an octree-based three-dimensional building LOD model construction method, specifically comprising the following steps: S1, reading data of a three-dimensional building model; S2, setting a tree depth parameter of an octree; S3, respectively combining outer bounding boxes of leaf nodes of the octree according to the level, and establishing coarse mesh blocks of components; S4, combining the coarse mesh blocks of the components of each level; S5, performing triangularization; S6, calculating a normal vector of each coarse mesh block; S7, combining the simplified components to form building models of the coarse mesh blocks; S8, deleting internal vertexes; S9, setting the material or texture; and S10, outputting a three-dimensional building LOD model. The octree-based three-dimensional building LOD model construction method is not limited by complexity, and has strong robustness. The generated LOD model can keep the main structural characteristic of an original building model well, has high similarity to the original building model, and can keep the structural characteristic of the original building model well even when the resolution is low.
