Abstract:
An oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic composition which contains: 0.1 to 3% by mass of (A) an aqueous polymer that contains, as a constituent unit, 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid or a salt thereof; 10 to 40% by mass of (B) an ultraviolet scattering agent that is composed of an inorganic powder that is hydrophobized by a trialkoxyalkylsilane; 0.1 to 5% by mass of (C) a polyhydroxystearic acid; 0.1 to 5% by mass of (D) a polyglycerol fatty acid ester that has an HLB value of 5 to 8; 7 to 40% by mass of (E) a liquid oil; and 30 to 80% by mass of (F) water. This oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic composition is an emulsion wherein oil phases which contain the components (B) to (E) are dispersed in an aqueous phase which contains the components (A) and (F); and the content of the component (B) in the oil phases is 40 to 70% by mass. This oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic composition may also contain (G) a hydrophilic surfactant and (H) a polyhydric alcohol.
