This invention provides an oil-in-water emulsion lip cosmetic that exhibits excellent freshness and high-temperature stability and is not pale.　The oil-in-water emulsion lip cosmetic characteristically comprises the indicated (A) and (B) and has a viscosity of 7,500-50,000 mPa·s. (A) an oil component that contains (a1) and (a2): (a1) 5-70 mass% methylphenylsilicone, and (a2) 5-70 mass% of an oil component that separates when mixed with (a1) at 25°C (B) an aqueous component that contains (b1) and (b2): (b1) 10-80 mass% aqueous component, and (b2) 0.01-10 mass% colorant (C) a surfactant that contains (c1) and (c2): (c1) at least 2.5 mass% of surfactant that undergoes at least 1 mass% dissolution in (a2) when mixed with (a2) at 25°C, and (c2) 0-0.5 mass% sucrose fatty acid ester (D) a higher alcohol that contains (d1): (d1) at least 0.5 mass% branched-chain alcohol having at least 6 carbons
