Abstract:
The present invention is an oil-in-water emulsion sunscreen cosmetic characterized by containing the following components and not containing an organic UV absorber: (A) hydrophobized titanium oxide and/or zinc oxide hydrophobized by octyltriethoxysilane and/or dimethylpolysiloxane; (B) a liquid higher fatty acid; (C) a sugar ester or a silicone having a carboxyl group in the structure thereof; (D) a non-ionic surfactant; (E) sodium carboxymethyl cellulose; and (F) water. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a non-chemical oil-in-water emulsion sunscreen cosmetic that contains hydrophobized zinc oxide and/or hydrophobized titanium oxide as a UV scattering agent, does not contain an organic UV absorber, and has excellent emulsion stability and a pleasant feel while still providing a high level of UV protection.
