Abstract:
Provided is an oil-in-water emulsion-type cosmetic composition that has a unique fresh texture when used, has excellent emulsion stability, and has strong coverage performance. This oil-in-water emulsion-type cosmetic composition contains components (a) through (d). (a) is pigment particles having an average particle diameter of 200 to 500 nm and having surfaces that have been subjected to a hydrophobicity-imparting treatment. (b) is a water-soluble alkyl-substituted polysaccharide derivative. (c) is polyhydroxystearic acid. (d) is an oil component containing a polar oil. Here, the pigment particles are dispersed in the oil component, the pigment particle content is 8.0 to 15 mass%, and the content of nonionic surfactant having an HLB value of 10 or greater is 1.0 mass% or less.
