Title:
OLFACTORY RECEPTOR EXPRESSING METHOD AND RESPONSE MEASUREMENT METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/270481
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides a technique that enables expression of an olfactory receptor and enables the olfactory receptor to function. This olfactory receptor polypeptide expression method comprises causing a cell to express an olfactory receptor polypeptide having an amino acid sequence obtained by altering at least one amino acid residue that is in an amino acid sequence of a target olfactory receptor but that is different in a consensus amino acid sequence, to an amino acid residue of the consensus amino acid sequence at a position corresponding thereto. The consensus amino acid sequence is an amino acid sequence derived through alignment of the amino acid sequence of the target olfactory receptor and an amino acid sequence of a specific olfactory receptor.
