Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to provide an open-type earphone that puts no feeling of pressure on the ear, makes it easy to hear surrounding environmental sounds, and that has a high sound insulation property to prevent sound leakage. The invention provides an open-type earphone that comprises: an earphone body 2 that incorporates at least a speaker 5; and an acoustic duct 3 that obliquely extends from the earphone body 2 and that is to be inserted into the external auditory meatus 11 of the ear. In the acoustic duct 3, there are formed: a first communication path 6 that causes the speaker 5 to communicate with the external auditory meatus 11 of the ear; and a second communication path 7 that causes the atmosphere to communicate with the external auditory meatus 11 of the ear.
