The objective of the present invention is to record the state of an application to be logged of a client at a server and to evaluate the code efficiency for each change of state so as to consistently achieve optimal code efficiency. The operation log storage system (1) of the present invention is configured with a client device (3) and a server device (2) for storing the operation log thereof, wherein a memory device (14) of the server device and a storage device (16), via a communication interface (10), store a codebook generation program (104) for generating a codebook on the basis of an operation log transmitted from the client device (3), a code method group (500) for coding the operation log, and the program state upon the client device which has been estimated on the basis of the operation log. The memory device (14) of the client device (3) stores the codebook which has been transmitted from the server device (2), an application group to be logged (110), and an operation log acquisition program (108) for acquiring the operation log. The server device (2) stores away the operation log which has been received from the client device (3) in a sequential storage device (16) as the operation log.
