Abstract:
This optical communication device comprises: an optical switch that outputs an optical signal input from one transmission path among a plurality of transmission paths to another transmission path among the plurality of transmission paths; a monitoring unit that relays the optical signal on the transmission path on the side to which the optical signal is output from the optical switch; a blocking unit that blocks the transmission of the optical signal output from the monitoring unit; a wavelength control unit that allocates a wavelength, a time, a polarized wave, a mode, a symbol, a frequency, a core, a core wire, or a wavelength etc. which is a combination thereof, to an optical signal of a subscriber device, via the monitoring unit; and an optical switch control unit that controls the optical switch such that an optical signal input from the transmission path to the optical switch is output to the other transmission path, and that cancels the blocking by the blocking unit.
