An optical connection component (1) according to one embodiment comprises: an adapter (10) to which an optical connector (2) that has a ferrule (3) holding an optical fiber (F) is connected; and a lever member (20) which is attached to the adapter (10) rotatably about a central axis (L) that extends along a first direction (D1) intersecting with the optical axis direction (D3) of the optical fiber (F). The adapter (10) has a latch (11) with which the optical connector (2) that moves along the optical axis direction (D3) engages. The lever member (20) has a movement mechanism (23) which rotates about the central axis (L) toward the optical connector (2) so as to cause the optical connector (2) to move along the optical axis direction (D3).
