Abstract:
Provided are an optical element and a light collecting type photovoltaic device in which the occurrence of changes in lens shape for a light collecting optical function pattern can be reduced even in an environment with temperature changes after a glass substrate and a sheet shaped molded body having a light collecting optical function pattern are bonded together.
An optical element (4) is provided with a glass substrate (5) and a sheet shaped molded body (6) bonded on the glass substrate (5) and having a Fresnel lens pattern (6a) formed from a thermoplastic resin. When a light beam with a diameter of 5 mm ø is incident orthogonal to the sheet shaped molded body (6) with respect to the center of the concentric circles of the sheet shaped molded body (6) from a position outside of 70% or more of the radius thereof, the value for αB/αA is 0.70 or greater, where α is the size of the range in which brightness is 1/10 of the maximum brightness at a position where the light at the center of the beam intersects with a center line, and αA is the largest of the values and αB is the smallest of the values for α when temperature is changed to 25°C and 55°C.
