Abstract:
An optical ferrule which has an ejector pin mark formed by an ejector pin during molding and holds optical fibers, characterized by comprising a ferrule main body, the ferrule main body having optical-fiber insertion openings through which the optical fibers are inserted, optical-fiber holes for exposing the ends of the optical fibers, and a lower face of the ferrule main body, the lower face serving as a reference plane. The ferrule is further characterized in that the lower face of the ferrule main body has a recess, the bottom of which has the ejector pin mark, and the side surfaces of the recess have been formed higher than a molding burr surrounding the ejector pin mark.
