Abstract:
Provided is an optical filter in which the degree of color correction effect in a specific wavelength region differs depending on the angle at which light is incident thereon. The optical filter is provided with, between a light incident surface and a light emission surface, a transmitting section that transmits light and an absorbing section that absorbs light. The volume of the transmitting section is larger than the volume of the absorbing section. The optical filter is characterized in that when a transmission spectrum S0 of light incident at an incident angle of 0° and a transmission spectrum S60 of light incident at an incident angle of 60° are superimposed, there exists a first wavelength band in which the transmittance (%) at the incident angle of 60° is lower than the transmittance (%) at the incident angle of 0° by 15% or more and a second wavelength band in which the difference between the transmittance (%) at the incident angle of 60° and the transmittance (%) at the incident angle of 0° is 10% or less.
