Abstract:
Provided is an optical filter that is easily manufactured and has an excellent viewing-angle control function while having a high aperture ratio. This optical filter includes an opaque processed film, wherein the opaque processed film has a film portion for which the total light transmittance in the thickness direction is 10% or less, and a plurality of through-holes arranged regularly and penetrating in the thickness direction of the opaque processed film. The opaque processed film has at least a surface for which the aspect ratio (FT/HD), which is indicated by the thickness FT of the opaque processed film with respect to the diameter HD of the through-holes, is 1 or greater, and has at least a surface for which the aperture ratio (the ratio of the area of the through-hole region with respect to the entire surface area) exceeds 40%.
