Abstract:

Provided is optical glass containing, by mol% in terms of the oxide: P2O5 20.0 to 30.0%, B2O3 3.5 to 10.0%, SiO2 0 to 5.0%, BaO 0 to 5.0%, Na2O 16.2 to 25.0%, K2O 0 to 8.0%, Bi2O3 10.0 to 20.0%, TiO2 3.0 to 15.0%, Nb2O5 10.0 to 20.0%, WO3 5.0 to 15.0%, and ZnO 0 to 5.0%. The optical glass is essentially free of Li2O and has a liquid phase viscosity (ηＴＬ) of 7dPa·s or greater and a refractive index (nd) of 1.90 or greater.
