Abstract:
This optical path design device is provided with: a search unit for searching for one or more candidate pathways from start to end in an optical network that has one or more transmission paths serving as links and a plurality of node devices serving as nodes, such searching performed on the basis of topology information of the optical network as well as information on the start and information on the end; a time derivation unit for deriving, for each of the transmission paths or the node devices included in the pathways, an available time that is a time at which a frequency band including one or more frequency slots becomes available to use for communication; and a design unit for selecting, on the basis of the available time derived for each of the transmission paths or the node devices, a pathway from among the one or more candidate pathways that have been retrieved, and selecting a frequency band of an optical signal that is to be transmitted through an optical path that is in the selected pathway.
