Abstract:
An optical receiver is provided with: an APD 1 which converts an input light signal into a current signal; a TIA 21 which converts the current signal from the APD 1 into a voltage signal; an LIA 31 which shapes the waveform of the voltage signal from the TIA 21 and outputs the resultant voltage signal; an AOC 23 which has a time constant switching function and automatically compensates offset voltage between differential outputs from the TIA 21; and an end state detection circuit 25 which, after detecting that automatic compensation has come to an end in the AOC 23, outputs, to the AOC 23, a time constant switching control signal for switching from a high-speed time constant to a low-speed time constant.
