Abstract:
An optical receiving device for receiving a polarization-multiplexed optical signal is provided with a coherent optical receiver (11) for converting the optical signal into an electric signal, an analog-digital converter (12) for converting an analog signal in the state of a polarization-multiplexed electric signal into a digital signal, a polarization separator (13) for separating the polarization-multiplexed digital signal into two digital signals, and a polarization compensation processor (14) for compensating for polarization rotation in two or more different directions in Stokes space that the two digital signals have been subjected to in an optical transmission line.
