Abstract:
In order to provide an optical reception device capable of performing stable coherent detection and maintaining the quality of a received signal, this optical reception device is provided with: a locally emitted light output unit 301; a phase adjustment unit 302; a polarization control unit 303; a multiplexing unit 304; a photoelectric conversion unit 305; a demodulation unit 306; and a control unit 307. The phase adjustment unit 302 adjusts the phase of locally emitted light. The polarization control unit 303 controls polarization rotation of an optical signal. The multiplexing unit 304 multiplexes the locally emitted light output from the phase adjustment unit 302 with the optical signal output from the polarization control unit 303. The demodulation unit 306 performs a demodulation process based on an electric signal obtained through conversion performed by the photoelectric conversion unit 305. The control unit 307, on the basis of information about the reception state of the optical signal, controls the execution of at least one of the phase adjustment of the locally emitted light in the phase adjustment unit 302 and the polarization rotation of the optical signal in the polarization control unit 303.
