Abstract:
An optical system having, disposed in order from the object side to the image side, a first lens L1 having positive refraction, a second lens L2 having negative refraction, and a third lens L3 having positive refraction. At least either the first lens L1 or the third lens L3 comprise a chalcogenide material. The optical system fulfils the conditional formula 0.75 < Np – Nn, where Np is the refractive index of the lens comprising chalcogenide material at a wavelength of 0.9 μm and Nn is the refractive index of the second lens L2 at a wavelength of 0.9 μm.
