Abstract:
This optical transmission device carries out wavelength filtering of an optical signal while preventing filtering-related constriction. A branching unit (1) branches a wavelength-multiplexed optical signal (SIN) including an optical signal having a first wavelength into an optical signal (S1) and an optical signal (S2). A wavelength selection unit (12) blocks, within the optical signal (S1), an optical signal in a first wavelength band including the first wavelength. A filter unit (13) transmits, within the optical signal (S2), an optical signal (ST) in a second wavelength band including the first wavelength. A multiplexing unit (14) multiplexes and outputs the optical signal (ST) and an optical signal having the second wavelength. The second wavelength band is wider than the first wavelength band.
