Abstract:
An optical transmission device of one embodiment of the present invention redundantly transmits a multiplexed signal obtained by multiplexing N (where N is an integer greater than 1) optical signals of different wavelengths, and comprises: a first demultiplexing unit that receives the input of a first multiplexed signal and demultiplexes same into N optical signals; N first detection units which respectively receive input of the N optical signals demultiplexed by the first demultiplexing unit, and which each detect the presence/absence of degradation of the optical signal on the basis of the signal level of the input optical signal; a second demultiplexing unit that receives the input of a second multiplexed signal and demultiplexes same into N optical signals; N second detection units which respectively receive input of the N optical signals demultiplexed by the second demultiplexing unit, and which each detect the presence/absence of degradation of the optical signal on the basis of the signal level of the input optical signal; and a selection unit that, on the basis of the detection results by the first detection units and the second detection units as to the presence/absence of degradation of the optical signals, selects each of the N optical signals of different wavelengths from any one of the optical signals demultiplexed by the first demultiplexing unit and the optical signals demultiplexed by the second demultiplexing unit.
