Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to assist with design of a minimum-cost computer system configuration in a short time and with high efficiency even of a computer system which carries out complex processes. An optimal design assistance device, assisting in design of controllable design parameters of a computer system whereupon a plurality of Service Level Objects (SLO) relating to non-function requisites are designated, comprises: a relaxation solution derivation unit (53) which derives a relaxation solution evaluation value which is the minimum value of the cost of a system configuration of a computer system which satisfies a portion of SLOs among a plurality of SLOs; and a search unit (70) which, using a relaxation solution evaluation value unit, searches for a parameter set of design parameters whereby all of the plurality of SLOs are achieved and the cost of the system configuration reaches a minimum.
