The purpose of the present invention is to provide: an oral composition containing ergothioneine or a salt thereof and vitamin E and having minimized bitterness resulting from ergothioneine or a salt thereof and odor resulting from vitamin E; and a method for minimizing bitter taste resulting from ergothioneine or a salt thereof and odor resulting from vitamin E. The present invention relates to an oral composition which contains component (A), which is ergothioneine or a salt thereof, and component (B), which is at least one type of vitamin E, the weight ratio ((B)/(A)) of component (B) (in terms of vitamin E) to component (A) (in terms of ergothioneine) being 1−27.
