Abstract:
An organic EL display panel in which poor emission due to contact with a mask and deterioration due to outgas are retarded, and its manufacturing method. The EL display panel comprises a substrate, a first display electrode formed on the major surface of the substrate and having one or more pixel emission areas, an organic function layer formed on the first display electrode and including at least one organic material layer, a mask spacer provided in the vicinity of the organic function layer, and a second display electrode formed on the organic function layer. The mask spacer is composed of the same material as any one of the organic material layers and has a top surface located higher than the position of the second display electrode with reference to the major surface of the substrate.
